Single Payer Action Confronts Congressman Braley

July 21, 2009

Congressman Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) tried to pull the wool over the eyes of his constituents.

Earlier this month, at a town hall meeting in Davenport, Iowa, Congressman Braley was confronted by Single Payer Action.

“We need single payer health care,” Polly Bekker told Braley.

Braley said that we already had it — it’s called Medicare.

And he implied that Obama’s health care legislation would spread it to everyone.

Bekker told Braley that wasn’t true and Obama care wasn’t good enough.

Bekker told Braley to be respectful.

As if letting 60 Americans die every day from lack of health insurance is being respectful.

Bekker was eventually led out of the room.
